You’ll be assessed by a qualified and experienced assessor who will guide and support you throughout the course. The assessments are based on performance and knowledge criteria derived from the National Occupational Standards for Plastering (Construction) Level 2. This ensures that you’re gaining both essential practical skills and the theoretical understanding needed to excel in your role.
With a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 870 hours and a minimum of 291 Guided Learning Hours (GLH), this qualification equips you with enabling, fundamental, and transferable skills that can be applied across various plastering tasks. It can also form part of an apprenticeship framework, making it a great option for those who want to progress their career while continuing their education.
This qualification is recognised within the Construction Apprenticeship Framework in England and Wales and is supported by the Finishes and Interiors Sector (FIS) federation.
Course Content
To achieve this qualification a minimum of 7 units need to be attained. This comprises 6 units in the Mandatory Group, plus a minimum of at least 1 unit in the Optional Group. There are also additional units that can be taken as part of this qualification, this unit will be included on the certificate but will not count towards the achievement of the qualification.
The student must achieve the 6 units in this Mandatory Group.
